Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.
• Proven experience in payroll and tax management with multi-state payroll exposure.
• Expertise in payroll systems (UKG Pro, ADP, Paychex) and strong Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire payroll process for diverse employee groups with accuracy and compliance.
• Manage payroll tax filings and reporting, including Forms 941, 940, W-2s, and state returns.
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax laws and implement checks within processes.
• Lead payroll systems and vendor management, driving efficiency and issue resolution.
• Guide and mentor the payroll team, fostering excellence and continuous improvement.
