Job summary

KYOCERA AVX Greenville LLC is seeking an experienced Payroll Accounting Specialist to support US payroll tax accounting and ensure timely, accurate filings. You will coordinate with HR Partners to resolve discrepancies and maintain strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities include reviewing federal/state payroll tax returns, maintaining Workday, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, and supporting month-end close. You will also assist with audits and stay current on tax regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 5+ years of payroll experience required and 5+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; Workday (HRIS) experience is preferred.
• Must be highly confidential and able to work with auditors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review federal/state payroll tax returns and W-2/W-3 forms for accuracy.
• Maintain Workday and reconcile payroll journal entries to the general ledger.
• Coordinate payroll audits (workers’ comp, 401k, regulatory).
• Prepare monthly internal reports and ad hoc analyses for management.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close and tax compliance.
