Job summary

S.A. Comunale Co., Inc. seeks an experienced payroll professional to manage end-to-end payroll processing for a large, multi-site operation.

The role includes maintaining records, preparing tax reports, and managing deductions across union agreements and diverse benefits programs. The position requires a strong background in payroll administration, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to navigate complex regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of payroll experience is required.
• HRIS experience is a plus.
• Previous union payroll experience is a plus.
• Construction industry experience is a plus.
• The ability and willingness to learn new systems and processes is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Monarch, Windows) is required.

Responsibilities

• Process payrolls and maintain related records.
• File tax reports and voluntary deduction reports.
• Process involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments.
• Prepare accounting transactions and documents.
• Document and update procedures and prepare management reports.
• Investigate payroll questions and coordinate with banks.
• Maintain payroll files and employee changes.
• Manage Direct Deposit and ACH file transfers.
