Job summary

Milan Laser Hair Removal is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage payroll across multiple entities and ensure accurate, timely processing. You will handle tax questions, year-end activities, and journal entries while supporting audits and cross-team initiatives.

The role requires strong Excel skills, knowledge of payroll laws, and experience with a cloud-based system (Paycom a plus). The position is full-time and on-site in Omaha, NE.

Qualifications

• 5+ years payroll experience in complex multi-entity environments.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, deductions, and year-end reporting.
• Experience with cloud-based payroll systems; Paycom a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience in a large-scale or growing organization.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with data focus.
• Understanding of payroll controls and compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Independent work style with teamwork across departments.
• Education in Accounting or related field; degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review bi-weekly payroll for multiple entities and deductions.
• Review reports, maintain documentation, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Ensure payroll tax accuracy and compliance across states/localities.
• Manage payroll tax registrations as the company expands to new jurisdictions.
• Support year-end activities, including W-2 reconciliation.
• Calculate and process sales commissions.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and month-end accruals.
• Support audits related to payroll accounting and 401(k).
• Serve as a resource for employees on payroll questions.
• Collaborate with teams on payroll needs and process improvements.
