CLEAR is building THE secure identity company of the future. Our mission is to make experiences safer and easier—physically and digitally. With more than 43 million Members and a growing network of partners across the world, CLEAR's secure identity platform is transforming the way people live, work, and travel. Whether it’s at the airport, stadium, or throughout your everyday life, CLEAR unlocks the magic of frictionless experiences.

The Senior Payroll Specialist will support CLEAR’s Payroll team through hands-on payroll processing, audits, reporting, and issue resolution. You’ll prepare and process field payroll, support corporate payroll as needed, and serve as a key contact for field payroll matters. You’ll work with internal teams and external providers to ensure accurate, timely payments and assist with payroll projects and programs.

What you'll do:
  • Prepare and process payroll for field employees and support corporate payroll as needed; review payroll inputs and calculated results to ensure accurate, timely payments.
  • Process off-cycle payments as needed, including final pay and payroll corrections, in accordance with applicable requirements and processing deadlines.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for field payroll matters; respond to inquiries and coordinate with internal partners and payroll providers to resolve payroll and payment issues.
  • Process and respond to garnishments and other wage attachments; maintain accurate supporting records and coordinate required follow-up with external partners.
  • Use reporting to audit timesheets, employee records, and payroll; investigate unusual patterns and discrepancies, coordinate corrections, and provide payroll reports to internal teams as required.
  • Assist the Payroll team with special projects and programs; maintain payroll procedures and documentation and support approved payroll process and system updates.
How you'll measure success:
  • Accurate and timely payroll processing, supported by thorough audits and effective controls to eliminate errors and identify underlying or related issues.
  • Prompt resolution of payroll inquiries and payment issues, with corrections completed and stakeholders kept informed.
  • Accurate payroll reports and timely processing of off-cycle payments and wage attachments, with consistent follow-through on outstanding items.
  • Reliable payroll records and documentation, with effective support for team projects, programs, and approved process improvements.
What you're great at:
  • 4+ years of experience supporting and processing payroll in a complex, multi-state environment for hourly, salaried, and salaried non-exempt employees.
  • Strong working knowledge of state-specific wage and hour requirements, particularly final pay, with experience administering payroll deductions and garnishments.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll and HRIS systems, including payroll processing, reporting, and troubleshooting; Workday Payroll experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, with an analytical, detail-oriented approach to reconciling payroll information, investigating issues, and verifying accuracy and completeness.
  • Working independently with initiative, urgency, and follow-through while maintaining confidentiality, communicating clearly, collaborating effectively, and adapting to changing priorities and critical deadlines in a dynamic environment.
How You'll be Rewarded:

At CLEAR, we help YOU move forward - because when you’re at your best, we’re at our best. You’ll work with talented team members motivated by our mission of making experiences safer and easier.
