Job summary

New York Life is hiring a Payroll Manager in New York, NY. The role oversees biweekly payroll for about 13,000 employees using SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP), leading two internal staff and coordinating two offshore resources.

You will ensure accurate processing, regulatory compliance, and timely payroll runs while partnering with HR, Finance, and IT for enhancements and testing. A CPP or SAP EC experience enhances candidacy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll operations experience.
• Experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) or SAP Payroll.
• Experience supervising employees and offshore resources.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• CPP designation or SAP SuccessFactors EC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end biweekly payroll for ~13,000 employees using SAP ECP.
• Supervise two NY Life employees and coordinate two offshore resources.
• Maintain payroll calendar, ensure timely processing and regulatory compliance.
• Review results, resolve discrepancies, and approve payroll.
• Support testing for SAP ECP releases and wage type changes.
• Monitor SLAs and payroll controls; collaborate with HR/Finance partners.
