• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
• Six years of payroll experience.
• Two years of people leadership with accountability.
• Any appropriate combination of education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Payroll Department to ensure timely payroll processing.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and district procedures.
• Monitor calendars and deadlines for payroll processing.
• Assist with year-end activities including W-2 processing and audits.
• Serve as escalation point for complex payroll discrepancies.
• Supervise and develop payroll staff to maintain high performance.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to enhance payroll systems.
• Lead payroll-related projects and process improvements.
• Coordinate annual training for payroll staff.
• Analyze payroll data to support decision-making.
