Job summary

Vida HR seeks an experienced Payroll Manager to lead a team responsible for multi-state payroll processing across client organizations. This working-manager role combines people leadership, payroll operations, client escalations, implementation support, and process improvement.

You will maintain a small portfolio of payrolls, provide coverage as needed, and partner with the Director of HCM Solutions on training and system improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on payroll processing, multi-state.
• 2+ years of direct supervisory or people management.
• Ability to lead payroll operations while processing payroll.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, local payroll rules.
• Excellent client service, communication, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the payroll team including coaching and performance management.
• Coordinate daily payroll operations and on-time processing.
• Balance workloads by complexity and capacity.
• Develop SOPs for payroll processes.
• Escalate and resolve complex payroll issues with clients.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Finance, and HCM teams.
