Job summary

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in State of California payroll and Human Resources.
• Knowledge of State of California Personnel Transactions, including processing/reviewing complex payroll transactions.
• Demonstrated leadership skills supervising staff and guiding projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee important payroll and benefits work processes.
• Ensure correct and timely payment of wages.
• Independently identify and resolve the most complex transaction issues.
• Act as custodian of records and draft technical correspondence.
• Work with control agencies and advise department management.
• Serve on HR-related task forces within the Department or with other departments.
