Job summary

State of Washington’s Attorney General’s Office is seeking a permanent, full-time Fiscal Analyst 4 in the Financial Services Division, based in Olympia. In-training options exist to move from Fiscal Analyst 3 to FA4. Base pay varies with equity and experience, with additional stipends possibly applying.

The role focuses on payroll processing, GAAP-compliant analysis, and inter-unit reconciliation, supporting agency financial health and compliance with OFM rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with required accounting/auditing/budgeting coursework and two to three years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of statewide financial systems and reporting tools is preferred.
• In-training option available at Fiscal Analyst 3 level to move into Fiscal Analyst 4.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll-related financial transactions and reconciliations.
• Analyze fiscal data in accordance with GAAP, governmental auditing standards, and state regulations.
• Assist with agency-wide financial processing and reporting.
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of payroll data and reports.
• Support budget development and related purchasing functions.
