Job summary

Havis, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage payroll processes and gain exposure to employee benefits programs. The role requires high accuracy, discretion, and regulatory compliance, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

It serves as a key resource for employees and management, handling inquiries, data integrity, and reporting across payroll and benefits. The position emphasizes confidentiality and proactive workload management, supporting audits and validation of payroll

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR/Business/Accounting.
• Minimum of five years of progressive experience in multi-state payroll and benefits administration.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll/HRS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule, including data entry, review, reconciliation, and correction of timecards, earnings, deductions, and payroll adjustments.
• Maintain employee payroll, timekeeping, and benefits data within HRIS and payroll systems, ensuring data accuracy.
• Administer employee benefits programs (medical, dental, disability, life, COBRA) per plan documents and procedures.
• Assist with new hire benefit orientation, open enrollment, and employee communications on plan eligibility and changes.
• Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, deductions, garnishments, and benefit matters promptly and confidentially.
