Job summary

Mozilla Corporation seeks a Senior Payroll Analyst to lead the North America payroll operations, processing semi-monthly payroll for about 800 U.S. and Canadian employees, while ensuring compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local regulations.

The role includes reporting, analysis, and cross-functional initiatives. You will resolve payroll issues, collaborate with People Operations, Benefits, and vendors, and mentor a Payroll Administrator.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting Finance or related field.
  • 7+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably across U.S. and Canadian payrolls.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state/provincial payroll tax regulations.
  • Experience with payroll systems; ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong customer service focus with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and partner with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • CPP or equivalent designation is a plus.

  • Assist with year-end activities, including W-2s, T4s, tax filings, and audits.
  • Mentor and guide Payroll Administrator.

About this team and role:

What you’ll bring:
  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting Finance or related field
  • AND 7+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably across U.S. and Canadian payrolls.
  • OR equivalent combination of education
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state/provincial payroll tax regulations.
  • Experience with payroll systems. ADP Workforce Now experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong customer service focus with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and partner with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent designation is a plus.
