Job summary

CCMC is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to manage full-cycle, bi-weekly payroll for a multi-state workforce with accuracy and confidentiality. You will audit time records, process payroll changes, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of multi-state payroll experience, CPP is preferred, and you will collaborate with HR and Finance to resolve discrepancies and support continuous improvement in our payroll function.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, compliance standards, and tax requirements.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for multi-state employees.
  • Maintain payroll records with high accuracy and integrity.
  • Audit time and attendance records; calculate wages, overtime, and supplemental pay.
  • Execute payroll changes including deductions, tax status updates, and employment changes (transfers, promotions, terminations).
  • Accurately calculate and distribute final wages in compliance with state laws.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies in collaboration with HR and Finance departments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Administer wage garnishments, child support orders, and tax withholdings.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in payroll and HRIS systems.
  • Oversee paycard enrollment and distributions.
  • Respond to payroll-related employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in internal and external payroll audits.
  • Participate in payroll-related projects and process improvements.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information.

The Senior Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing full-cycle, bi-weekly payroll for multi-state employees with a high degree of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of payroll records, auditing time and attendance data, managing employee pay changes, and ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations. The Senior Payroll Administrator works closely with HR and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies, administer garnishments and withholdings, and respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality. Additionally, this role supports payroll audits, system data integrity, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the payroll function.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll

Physical requirements that are essential to the job.

  • Working conditions: Primarily performed onsite or hybrid
  • Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events
  • Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices
