Job summary

Archdiocese of Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Accountant (Payroll) in the Financial Services Department to support payroll processing for Catholic Cemeteries and Mortuaries and assist with payroll general ledger accounting for all related entities.

The role reports to the Payroll Manager and involves coordinating with Human Resources and other departments to ensure accurate payroll records, timely processing, and compliant month-end and year-end close activities.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Processing and Support: Provide payroll processing support for CC&M using ADP, ensuring timely and accurate payrolls.
• Review payroll information for completeness and accuracy across wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, benefits, and reimbursements.
• Assist CC&M and ACC with payroll questions, processing requirements, corrections, and related issues.
• Review payroll reports and supporting documentation for unusual transactions and coordinate resolutions.
• Assist with year-end payroll processes including W-2 preparation and reconciliation.
• Maintain documentation and internal controls for payroll transactions.
