Job summary

Brigit is a holistic financial health company that processes billions of payments. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of our payments platform, membership, and credit teams to optimize costs and improve transaction success.

You'll be part of the Data & Analytics team, focusing on payment failure patterns, working with Data Science to evaluate models, and helping Engineering and Product turn insights into action.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in payments analytics, fintech, or related roles.
• Proficient in SQL and data modeling.
• Strong knowledge of ACH and card networks and their mechanics.
• Experience partnering with Data Science teams and translating outputs into decisions.
• Sharp investigative instincts to spot anomalies in payment data.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with ownership.
• Familiarity with NACHA return rate requirements or AML is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the tradeoff between transaction costs and success rates across ACH and card rails and develop recommendations to improve both.
• Investigate payment failure patterns by institution, response code, and method and drive remediations with Engineering, Product, and Operations.
• Evaluate payment routing and collection strategies and size the impact of new configurations or vendor capabilities.
• Assess retry logic for cost and member experience implications and recommend smarter approaches.
• Build and refine alerting to detect payment anomalies quickly and surface issues.
• Collaborate with Data Science to support deployment and ongoing evaluation of predictive models.
• Build dashboards to track model performance post-launch and surface when adjustments are needed.
• Translate model outputs into business insights for stakeholders across product, finance, and leadership.
