Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Payments Java AWS Developer to support enterprise-scale payment processing platforms. This on-site contract role in Madison, WI requires deep expertise in payments systems, cloud-native development, and leadership of distributed teams.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and enhance mission-critical payment solutions, leveraging Java, Spring Batch, and AWS to deliver scalable and secure transaction processing. Onsite collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a CS/IT/Engineering field is required.
• 12+ years IT experience with 10+ years in payments processing and cards technology.
• Strong Java expertise with Spring Batch and AWS cloud deployment in high-volume environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain payment processing apps using Java.
• Lead implementations for ACH payments, card transactions, and tokenization.
• Architect scalable, secure cloud-native apps on AWS.
• Develop batch processing solutions with Spring Batch.
• Mentor onsite and offshore teams and contribute to Agile delivery.
• Create architecture documents and detailed technical specifications.
• Ensure security, performance, and regulatory compliance.
