Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect - Emerging Technology (Payments & Cloud Innovation) to drive technical leadership across payments, cloud, and emerging tech initiatives. Location: Charlotte, NC or Jersey City, NJ with a hybrid work model.

The role targets 15+ years in architecture, with skilled guidance of engineering teams, architecture reviews, and the development of scalable, secure designs. 18-month engagement on complex programs with W2 employment.

Qualifications

15+ years in Solutions Architecture or Enterprise Architecture.
Cloud-native and distributed systems expertise.
Payments or financial services domain experience preferred.
Strong communication and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as a technical thought leader across payments, cloud, and emerging technologies.
Translate new concepts into scalable, secure, and buildable architectures.
Guide engineering teams through implementation and provide architectural direction.
Lead architecture decisions, design reviews, POCs, and technical evaluations.
Establish architecture standards, patterns, roadmaps, and best practices.
Partner with technology leaders, product owners, and delivery teams.
