Job summary

Boeing is seeking experienced and senior Design Engineers for multiple interiors-focused roles in North Charleston, SC. The Payloads team handles aircraft interiors, cargo compartments, exteriors, and cabin safety, collaborating across engineering and production to deliver certified interiors products.

Roles involve development, supplier engagement, verification, and integration through production and certification, with opportunities across BFE Monuments, Lighting, Lavatories & Galleys,

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Materials) required.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in design, integration or certification.
• Level 4 requires 5+ years engineering experience including design, integration or certification.
• Strong understanding of FAA Title 14 Part 25 or EASA equivalents.
• Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, and release processes.
• 5+ years in program or project management and leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and project leadership within a production system.
• Interact with aerospace suppliers or airlines for engagement.
• Validate and demonstrate regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with regulators as needed.
• Design for manufacturing in aircraft interiors and related systems.
• Assign final responsibility within Interiors groups based on experience.
