Job summary

Teledyne Brown Engineering in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Payload Planning Manager (PPM) Team Lead to guide a senior planning team supporting ISS payload operations for NASA and international partners. You will oversee end-to-end planning across mission phases while maintaining active PPM certification.

The role combines technical leadership with personnel management, ensuring efficient use of resources during dynamic budgets and mission demands.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience supporting Payload Operations Integration (POI).
• Active Flight Controller or Mission Support certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a related technical discipline is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily tasking, workload allocations, and cross-team integration for a 10–15 member payload planning team.
• Oversee administrative duties including timecards, travel requests, performance reviews, and HR interfacing.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and certification; mentor and train staff; ensure critical deadlines are met.
