Job summary

EVONA is seeking a senior hardware engineer to own the payload primary board in a tight-knit team building the first fully commercial satellite navigation service. This role demands end-to-end ownership from architecture and schematic through to first power-on, with growth into technical leadership of the payload hardware team.

You will coordinate with RF, software, and verification teams, oversee layout partners, and ensure production-ready designs.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred).
• 10+ years designing complex mixed-signal and RF-adjacent boards for space/high-reliability.
• End-to-end ownership of multi-board payload designs from schematic to test.
• Ability to mentor a junior engineer and lead hardware team.
• Strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Own board-level design and bring-up of the payload primary board.
• Direct layout, assembly, and test work with external partners.
• Ensure integrated performance of multi-board payload with RF emphasis.
• Design timing reference chain with low-noise requirements.
• Sustain and evolve hardware architecture for next-generation designs.
• Deliver manufacturable/testable designs for production cadence.
• Investigate anomalies and drive design iterations.
