Job summary

TrustPoint, a startup advancing the world’s first commercial GPS system in space, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to own the payload electronics design for flight-ready satellites.

You'll lead board-level design, coordinate layout and test with partners, and ensure integrated performance with the RF team while guiding a growing hardware group. A strong background in mixed-signal and RF, and a passion for manufacturability are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering; M.S. preferred.
• 10+ years in complex mixed-signal and RF-adjacent PCB design for space/high-reliability hardware.
• Ownership of multi-board PCB designs from schematic to test.
• Ability to discuss design decisions in hands-on interview.
• Experience with manufacturability and test at production volumes.
• Willing to lead a payload hardware team and mentor others.
• Strong written and verbal communication; self-directed in fast-paced startup.

Responsibilities

• Own board-level design and bring-up of the payload's primary board.
• Direct layout, assembly, and test with partners and teams.
• Coordinate with RF lead for integrated system performance.
• Design the timing and frequency-reference signal chain with low-noise partitioning.
• Sustain and revise payload hardware and define next-gen architecture.
• Produce manufacturable, testable designs for production cadence.
• Support anomaly investigations and design iteration.
