University of Rochester is seeking a Sr. Payer Provider Contract Analyst to conduct complex analyses of payer issues affecting URMFG revenue cycle and to identify trends for revenue improvement.

The role requires expertise in payer reimbursement and strong collaboration with URMC payers and management. Responsibilities include interpreting payer policies, creating management communications, and leading projects to enhance financial performance.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience with medical practice billing/coding/terminology or relevant experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• EPIC fluency and Tableau reporting knowledge preferred.
• CMS and AMA CPT knowledge preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct specialized analyses of payer issues affecting URMFG revenue cycle.
• Identify trends, investigate, and recommend improvements to revenue.
• Analyze payer policies, including interpretation of administrative and clinical edit programs.
• Create communications to management, departments, and physicians.
• Represent URMFG with payers.
• Collaborate with URMC Payer Contracting & Reimbursement managers.
• Develop reports monitoring payer issues for internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor and assist staff with ad hoc projects/report design.
• Help ensure compliance and credentialing discussions with stakeholders.
• Lead special projects involving reimbursement and finance.
