Job summary

Amgen seeks a Contract Development, Senior Manager to join the U.S. Value & Access team. This remote role leads pricing and contracting for national payer accounts, partnering across Market Access, Legal, and Finance to structure offers and govern contract negotiations.

The Senior Manager develops contracting strategies aligned with brand objectives and financial goals, translating customer and market dynamics for senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree preferred (MBA or equivalent).
• 6+ years solving complex business problems and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead contracting strategy and execution for national payer accounts aligned with brand and business objectives.
• Own end-to-end contract development with cross-functional teams (Market Access, Legal, Pricing).
• Develop pricing proposals, term sheets, RFP responses, and amendments for negotiations.
• Serve as business owner for assigned contracts, including strategy, negotiations, and escalation.
• Provide insights to senior leadership on dynamics, pricing, and recommendations.
• Maintain knowledge of customers, membership trends, and market changes.
• Support product-specific pricing strategies and contract operations post-signature.
• Deliver ad hoc analyses related to customer strategy and contract performance.

Education

Doctorate + 2 years experience OR Master’s + 4 years experience OR Bachelor’s + 6 years experience OR Associate + 10 years experience OR High school + 12 years experience
