Job summary

MODMED is seeking a Patient Safety Specialist to help manage the day-to-day operations of the Patient Safety program across our specialty-specific EHR suites. You will work with leadership, product, legal, and clinical teams to review incidents, analyze data, and identify risk themes within our platforms.

The role requires a nursing or pharmacy degree, 5+ years of clinical and patient safety experience, and CPPS/CPHQ is preferred with certification possible within 2 years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Pharmacy.
• 5+ years of clinical experience and a minimum of quality and/or patient safety experience.
• CPPS and/or CPHQ, preferred. If the candidate does not possess CPPS or CPHQ, they must acquire the certification within 2 years in the role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Patient Safety Leadership, Product Management, Product Development, Legal, Medical Directors, and Client Services teams to review PS incidents and issues.
• Manage the Jira Cloud patient safety dashboards to ensure accuracy, timely triage, data integrity, and leadership updates.
• Conduct patient safety audits and analyze findings as directed by the Patient Safety Program Manager/VP.
• Assist in coordination of the Patient Safety Committee and governance meetings.
• Collaborate on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) action items, provide guidance on solutions, and report status.
• Present patient safety training to US, Germany, and India teams.
• Follow-up on findings with stakeholders and recommend system/workflow modifications.
