Job summary

City of Hope in the Atlanta area seeks a Senior Patient Care Technician to support clinical teams with phlebotomy, IV starts, and port access. Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate and timely reporting of patient needs.

Senior Patient Care Technician

The successful candidate:

• Hours are 8:30am - 5pm - 5 days a week Paraprofessional with current Paramedic certification and associated BLS/ACLS, who works under supervision for assigned tasks.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for phlebotomy inclusive of port access, starting intravenous lines, obtaining samples for lab tests as appropriate, assisting the department clinical stakeholders.
• Environmental duties and other tasks as assigned by supervisor and/or departmental expectations.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of patient needs.

Education/Experience Level

High School Diploma or equivalent State of Georgia Paramedic license required PCT certification or CNA license desirable Current BLS, ACLS, and CPR required

Knowledge and Skills
