UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Technical Denials Management Specialist II to join the Revenue Cycle Department. You will review, research, and resolve claim denials and appeals for multiple insurers, identifying payment trends to maximize collections.

Experience with EPIC Resolute is highly valued. The position offers a flexible start time 0600-0900, with an 8-hour shift and work-from-home eligibility for candidates in the Greater Dallas area, supporting collaboration with on-site

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Associate's Degree.
4 years' experience in medical claims recovery and/or collections; or 2 years with an Associate's Degree.
Experience with medical claims denials, reconsiderations, redeterminations, and appeals.
Ability to read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
Experience contacting payers and patients; knowledge of payer portals.

Responsabilités

Contact payers to resolve unpaid accounts over 30 days old and research denials.
Interpret contracts and Medicare/Medicaid rules to maximize reimbursement.
Make necessary adjustments per plan reimbursement.
Review, research, and appeal partially denied claims.
Contact patients to obtain information needed for balance resolution.
Train and mentor new staff on workflows and payer requirements.
Lead workflow activities and prioritize assignments.
Provide support for quality review and process improvements.
