Qualifications

• Associate degree or Equivalent Experience.
• Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments, and denials.
• Knowledge of Health Insurance requirements and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate MRNs and complete insurance verification.
• Accept and process physician orders and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Explain general consent forms and obtain signatures.
• Perform pre-registration to support POS and billing processes.
• Review eligibility responses and enter benefit data to support POS and billing.
• Develop training materials and ongoing education for staff.
• Create and manage staff schedules within the patient access department.
• Provide after-hours on-call support and guidance as part of on-call duties.
• Conduct audits of accounts and ensure forms are completed accurately for audits.
