Job summary

Qualifications

• Three (3) years previous Patient Scheduling or Patient Access experience.
• Experience in a hospital environment, medical terminology, knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 codes.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments, including complex services requiring coordination across providers, resources, or locations.
• Handle inbound calls and fax requests; perform outbound calls to coordinate appointments.
• Maintain scheduling systems to ensure accuracy, resolve conflicts, and optimize resource use.
• Obtain and verify all required patient, clinical, and insurance information for scheduling.
• Verify insurance eligibility and identify authorization, referral, and payer-specific requirements.
• Perform pre-registration by collecting complete demographic, clinical, and financial information.
