Job summary

Fulgent Therapeutics LLC is seeking an experienced pathologist to interpret surgical pathology, frozen sections, and cytology with electronic case release. The role includes gross tissue examination and active participation in quality control and infection control.

Regional travel to hospital-based laboratories across Texas will be required as new sites onboard. You will consult with referring physicians, provide diagnostic reports, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, HIPAA

Qualifications

• MD or DO with unrestricted TX license or eligibility.
• Board certification in anatomic or clinical pathology.
• Minimum 3 years pathology experience in a community hospital setting.
• Pre-employment color discrimination test.
• Maintain medical staff membership and privileges.

Responsibilities

• Interpret surgical pathology, frozen sections, and cytology; electronic release of cases.
• Perform gross examination of tissues.
• Participate in QA/QI and infection control.
• Consult with referring physicians on tests and results; provide patient care guidance.
• Travel regionally to hospital-based labs across Texas as onboarding expands.
• Train and educate laboratory personnel and students; assist with case interpretation.
