Job summary

The Dow Chemical Company is seeking a Patent Prosecution Paralegal to support the Core Legal Practices – Patent team. Based on site in Midland, TX, you will manage US and international patent filings, keep docketing on track, and collaborate with attorneys, clients, foreign counsel, and vendors to protect Dow’s intellectual property.

You will work under guidance from legal professionals while handling assigned matters with attention to deadlines, accuracy, and compliance, and you will contribute

Qualifications

• Associate degree OR 2 years of paralegal, legal professional, IP docketing or equivalent deadline-driven experience.
• US work eligibility required; no visa sponsorship.
• Experience with patent prosecution workflows and document management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file U.S. patent applications and related submissions with USPTO and international offices.
• Coordinate domestic and foreign patent prosecution activities, including filing instructions and communications with foreign associates.
• Monitor dockets and deadlines; report to attorneys, clients, foreign counsel, vendors, and docketing teams.
• Maintain accurate patent and document management records; support process improvements and policy development.
