Job summary

Unified Patents, LLC. seeks an experienced patent attorney with 5+ years of experience before the USPTO, including work on ex parte reexaminations, IPR, and PGR. A strong technical background and willingness to explore diverse technologies are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of law firm or other relevant experience before the USPTO.
• Experience with ex parte reexaminations, IPR or PGR.
• Strong writing and editing abilities; able to discuss admin matters with examples.
• State Bar and Patent Registration Examination passage required.

Responsibilities

• Manage patent office proceedings internally.
• Draft, file, and litigate patent office proceedings such as ex parte reexaminations.
• Coordinate with decision makers and senior attorneys.
• Draft motions and briefs; support ongoing matters.
• Assist with docketing, e-filing, budgeting, and other IP functions.
• Review and edit work product of colleagues and outside counsel.
