Job summary

The candidate should hold a JD or equivalent and a technical degree in mechanical/related engineering, with strong writing and analytical abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of patent preparation and prosecution in the mechanical arts.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong research, writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration.
• Licensed to practice law in New York.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications in mechanical engineering fields.
• Draft and review intellectual property agreements and licenses.
• Provide patentability, freedom to operate, and due diligence assessments.
