Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a dynamic Tax Manager to join the Partnership Tax team in the United States. You will provide compliance and consulting services for partnerships/LLCs, guiding clients through planning, research, and complex tax matters.

The role emphasizes partnership transactions, allocations, and coordination with US and India teams, with opportunities for leadership and client relationship development. A CPA license and extensive tax experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or business-related field.
• CPA license in one’s principal place of business/home state, licensed J.D. or Enrolled Agent.
• Must have at least 7+ years of corporate federal tax compliance and tax consulting experience pertaining to planning, research and general mergers and acquisitions activities.
• Experience in public accounting with at least 5+ of those years focusing on partnership taxation.
• Experience with one or more of the following: S-Corps or Partnerships/LLCs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills required.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a full range of partnership tax services, including planning, research, compliance, allocations, and general transactional activities.
• Assist with new business development, extended service, and tax issue recognition for existing clients.
• Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members.
• Manage partnership client needs with respect to tax services and federal and state tax compliance.
• Develop and sustain strong client relationships.
• Keep up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
• Provide industry knowledge and expertise.
• Work in harmony with the U.S. team and continue to develop the teams both in US and India.
• May have people leadership responsibilities.
• Provide detailed review and analysis of complex tax returns.
