Job summary

The Walmart Marketplace Platform team is hiring a Senior Partner Engineer to help external developers and partners successfully integrate with the Walmart Marketplace API ecosystem. You will provide hands-on technical guidance across onboarding, architecture, troubleshooting, and optimization to improve APIs, developer tooling, and the overall developer experience.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in software engineering, partner engineering, solutions engineering, or developer relations.
Strong coding skills in Java, NodeJS, Rust, or similar backend languages.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, authentication/authorization flows, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Partner with external developers, solution providers, and partners to enable Walmart Marketplace API integrations.
Troubleshoot API issues and provide hands-on technical and architectural guidance.
Define best practices, reference implementations, and scalable integration patterns.
Build tools, dashboards, automation, and diagnostics to monitor integration health and API adoption.
Identify systemic integration gaps and partner with engineering to improve APIs, SDKs, and developer tooling.
Provide developer feedback to influence API design, documentation, and roadmap priorities.
Partner with Product and Business teams to align platform capabilities with partner needs.
Advocate for the developer experience, reducing friction and improving partner satisfaction.
