Job summary

Montgomery Parks — Southern Parks Division seeks a Senior Parks/Facilities Maintenance Worker to join the Wheaton Management Area Trim Team. This full-time role supports the upkeep of parks, playgrounds, and Park Activity Buildings, performing skilled maintenance and operating equipment in outdoor settings.

Under supervision, you will inspect and repair grounds, buildings, and playgrounds, handle tree care, vehicle and tool operation, and respond to safety needs.

Qualifications

• Two years of groundskeeping, building maintenance or park maintenance experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute two years.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds, trail, and facility maintenance to keep parks safe, clean, and accessible.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair park grounds, buildings, and amenities.
• Operate non-CDL Commission vehicles and maintenance equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and respond to emergencies as required.
