Job summary

Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking an Engineering Specialist IV in Tallahassee to manage design and construction projects for park infrastructure. The role involves on-site inspections, interagency coordination, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the principles of land use, site planning and design.
• Knowledge of basic building construction.
• Skill in Architecture/engineering services and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to plan, direct and proactively manage 15–20 projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning and design of park infrastructure, including roadways, facilities, drainage structures.
• Conduct onsite project inspections.
• Coordinate with engineers and agencies on shoreline stability, design or erosion projects.
• Review construction plans for compliance with codes and regulations.
