Job summary

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department seeks a Maintenance Specialist IV to manage and perform complex maintenance of water treatment and wastewater facilities at Hill Country State Natural Area. You will operate, inspect, and repair systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety standards.

In this senior role you will lead volunteers and seasonal staff, coordinate preventive maintenance, and maintain records.

Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or GED.
• Four years of facility, equipment or grounds maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of TCEQ rules and regulations on the proper operation and performance standards for water distribution systems and water treatment systems.
• Knowledge of wastewater and water testing and analysis procedures and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair water treatment and wastewater facilities.
• Provide leadership to volunteers and seasonal workers.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and complete required forms/reports (TCEQ/TPWD).
• Manage revenue collection and issuing permits.
