Job summary

Allegiance Mobile Health in Alice, TX seeks a skilled Paramedic (EMT P) to provide advanced life support and lead patient assessment in emergency and non-emergency settings. You will administer medications, interpret EKGs and ensure safe transport to healthcare facilities.

This role requires clinical expertise, leadership, and the ability to stay composed under pressure. Must be Texas-licensed paramedic with CPR/ACLS/PALS certifications and a valid TX driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Certified as a paramedic in the State of Texas.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS.
• PALS.
• PHTLS or ITLS.
• Communicates effectively.
• Reads, writes and interprets instructions in English.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls 24 hours per day, drives a variety of emergency vehicles in all road conditions.
• Reads map books and follows directions to respond efficiently and safely.
• Follows all driving laws, policies and procedures.
• Communicates with dispatchers, EMS crews and first responders according to policies.
• Maintains vehicles and equipment in readiness and cleanliness.
• Completes daily vehicle and supply checklists and assists with re-supply and decontamination.
• Reports discrepancies with vehicles, supplies or equipment in writing.
• Provides direct patient care per Medical Director's authorization and protocols.
• Demonstrates clinical competency in patient care.
• Demonstrates physical abilities to lift, carry and transport patients.
• Interacts with outside agencies such as Police/Fire/First Responders.
• Provides satisfactory customer service and professionalism.
• Completes patient care reports and billing documentation in a timely manner.
• Works under taxing conditions and high-stress situations.
• Exposure to blood-borne pathogens and hazards.
• Performs other duties and assists with housekeeping and special projects.
• Must pass departmental skills evaluation and NEOP before staffing a truck.
