Job summary

O’Melveny seeks a Senior Paralegal for its San Francisco office to support complex litigation and trial preparation. The candidate will serve as a subject-matter expert, oversee discovery, coordinate filings, and manage large case files with minimal supervision.

Strong research and document-review skills, plus the ability to mentor junior staff, are essential. Ideal applicants have 12–15+ years of experience, proficiency with Relativity and Opus 2, and a ABA-approved paralegal certificate.

Qualifications

• 12-15+ years of traditional litigation paralegal experience.
• Extensive in-person trial support is required.
• Proficiency in legal research databases and case-file management.
• Strong MS Office skills; familiarity with PDF manipulation and document review.

Responsibilities

• Support all stages of complex litigation matters with minimal oversight.
• Oversee discovery, witness interviews, and document productions.
• Maintain electronic case files and organize exhibits and trial notebooks.
• Coordinate court and agency filings and trial preparation activities.
• Conduct factual and legal research to support attorneys’ work.
• Provide guidance to junior paralegals and project assistants.
• Record time accurately and manage overtime and travel as needed.
