Job summary

Crowell & Moring LLP, a leading international law firm, seeks an experienced Senior Paralegal in Chicago to support attorneys in state and federal litigation from initiation through discovery, hearings, trial, and post-trial proceedings. The role includes coordinating discovery, managing case materials, and supervising junior staff.

The position requires a minimum of five years of related experience, strong document management skills, and proficiency with Relativity and other litigation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• ABA Paralegal Certification is preferred.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible litigation paralegal experience in state and federal matters.
• Experience with court filings, discovery, deposition prep, and trial prep is required.
• Experience with complex commercial and intellectual property litigation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support complex litigation in state and federal courts, including commercial, patent, and trademark disputes.
• Organize, manage, and update client files and pleadings (electronic and paper).
• Coordinate and guide case/workflow for paralegals and project assistants.
• Cite check and proofread pleadings, briefs, and documents.
• Prepare and coordinate filing and service of pleadings, motions, briefs, and materials in state and federal courts.
