Job Information

The Litigation Paralegal position will provide legal assistance to support Bobcat’s Legal Department’s management of active and threatened litigation and claims across North America. This individual will assist with all phases of litigation and pre-litigation work, including coordination with internal stakeholders and outside counsel. This role will also provide administrative and organizational support to the broader North America Legal Department and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Role & Responsibility

Responsibilities

While the role is focused on supporting litigation and dispute matters, the Litigation Paralegal will also assist with general legal operations and risk management functions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting management of active litigation, including commercial, product liability, intellectual property, warranty, employment, and dealer matters
  • Assisting with document collection/review and discovery responses, including electronic discovery
  • Coordinating subpoenas, records requests, and litigation holds
  • Tracking deadlines, pleadings, court filings, and managing litigation calendars
  • Helping prepare case summaries, litigation reports, and internal communications
  • Assisting in-house counsel in managing outside counsel and monitoring legal spend, including review of legal bills
  • Supporting internal investigations and fact development
  • Participating in special legal projects, including litigation process enhancements and data tracking

Job Requirement

  • General administrative and litigation support for the Doosan Bobcat North America Legal Department
  • Assist in the management of litigation and disputes to achieve efficient and favorable outcomes
  • Coordinate with internal business units, outside counsel, and vendors to facilitate document production and fact gathering
  • Must have significant experience supporting litigation and discovery processes, ideally in both law firm and in-house settings
  • Travel Standard: Less than 10%
