Job summary

Systems Engineering Solutions Corporation is seeking an experienced Firewall Administrator to manage and support Palo Alto firewall infrastructure in the United States. You will oversee deployment, configuration, and ongoing operations to ensure security and availability.

The role requires strong Palo Alto expertise, network security knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across LAN/WAN, VPNs, and cloud firewall configurations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and firewall administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field.
• Public trust security clearance required.
• Expertise configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet, Check Point, Juniper).
• Strong understanding of network security, VPNs, NAT, ACLs, and IDS/IPS.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize network performance with minimal downtime.
• Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of Palo Alto firewall devices and cloud firewall configurations.
• Manage Palo Alto PAN-OS, VPN, Prisma Access, and GlobalProtect with lifecycle support.
• Diagnose and resolve complex firewall issues including connectivity, performance, and security.
• Maintain firewall configurations, procedures, and security documentation.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate firewall solutions with other systems.
