The role involves managing projects, mentoring staff, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams across our Cultural Resources Group. The candidate will author paleontological resource assessments, oversee budgets, and develop mitigation measures while working on diverse regional projects.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of paleontological or environmental consulting experience.
• Ability to lead field crews and manage projects under CEQA.
• Experience with paleontological surveys, salvage, and reporting.
• Strong writing, organizational, and budget management skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead surveys and prepare technical documents for regional projects.
• Supervise project teams and coordinate client meetings.
• Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and proposals.
• Mentor junior staff and develop paleontological practice.
• Cross-train staff for monitoring projects.
• Manage fieldwork across Southern California.
