Job summary

Ector County Independent School District Maintenance Services in Odessa, Texas, seeks a Foreman-Painting to lead the district's painting team and coordinate both interior and exterior finishes. You’ll supervise the Paint Department, schedule work, read blueprints and color schedules, and ensure safe, quality workmanship across district facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.
• 3–5 years of painting field experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and complete work orders.
• Coordinate, supervise and participate in the maintenance of all paint and furniture finishing and glazing work in district facilities.
• Assign duties, supervise, and inspect completed work.
• Confer with school principals and district administrators on building maintenance.
• Interpret plans and read color schedules.
• Train subordinates to perform duties as required.
• Estimate and procure supplies and equipment as needed.
• Establish painting schedules for district facilities.
• On call 24/7 for emergencies and vandalism.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.
