Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech in Orlando is seeking a Painter III to join our ground support equipment team. This role uses your paint/body experience and grit blast skills to meet stringent GSE specifications and ensure quality coatings on heavy machinery.

You will drive Lean 5s initiatives, troubleshoot issues, document VOC logs, and move painted parts through the process while upholding safety and housekeeping standards. Your expertise helps support critical services for aviation customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Typically five or more years auto paint and body experience.
• Experience with prep, grit blast and final paint of heavy machinery.
• Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Paint according to Oshkosh AeroTech - Ground Support Equipment (GSE) specifications.
• Complete Lean initiatives including 5s activities.
• Troubleshoot problems, identify and communicate discrepancies.
• Complete required paint documentation including VOC log and check sheets.
• Move painted parts to the next process verifying they meet Oshkosh AeroTech specifications.
• Recommend improvements to paint procedures.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner and keep all employees aware of dangers in work area.
