Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech is seeking an experienced paint technician to apply coatings to heavy machinery and components in a dedicated production environment.

The role requires five or more years of auto paint/body experience, familiarity with prep, grit blast, and final painting stages, and the ability to work well in a diverse team. Candidates should demonstrate safety awareness and attention to documentation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of auto paint and body experience.
• Experience with prep, grit blast and final paint of heavy machinery preferred.
• Ability to work productively in a diverse, multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Paint according to Oshkosh AeroTech specifications.
• Complete Lean initiatives including 5S activities.
• Troubleshoot problems and communicate discrepancies.
• Complete paint documentation including VOC log and check sheets.
• Move painted parts to next process meeting specifications.
• Recommend improvements to paint procedures.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and environmental rules.
