Job summary

Kids Matters OT is seeking a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Yeerongpilly clinic. You will mentor less experienced staff and handle complex paediatric cases across clinic, community and telehealth settings.

Qualifications

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at our Yeerongpilly clinic. You’ll be a skilled clinician in your own right, and you’ll also support and mentor less experienced staff members.

We want an environment where every therapist is supported to excel and find their own flow. If you’ve got solid paediatric experience, some leadership under your belt, and you’re up for taking on complex cases while helping other team members grow, you’ll fit right in. We work with kids across the full range of needs, sensory, motor, learning, behavioural, emotional and developmental, so you’ll need to be comfortable with variety.

You’ll be working alongside OTs at every stage of their career, from therapists with 7 to 40 years’ experience through to our newer grads. The caseload is genuinely varied, clinic, community and telehealth, so you get to apply your clinical skills across different settings rather than doing the same thing every day. Our Yeerongpilly clinic has great resources too, including sensory gyms and dedicated small offices, so your clients get the right space and equipment for their therapy.

What You Can Expect

About The Role

You’ll have your own desk, seated close to your colleagues so support and collaboration happen naturally. This is a hybrid role covering both clinic and community work, with some flexibility in how you set up your schedule. We try to keep community visits within a tight geographical radius. You’ll need your own car, with travel costs reimbursed at the government rate.

You’ll have real input into shaping your caseload around your skillset, and you’ll be supported to become the best therapist you can be, while helping others do the same.

You have the opportunity to work part-time (minimum 24 hours/ week) up to full-time. You’ll be employed by a not-for-profit company with a genuine wider purpose, and salary sacrificing is available for a larger take-home pay.
