Job summary

Hamburg Brewing Company in Town of Hamburg, NY seeks a Senior Packaging Technician to join our growing team. This role focuses on operating, starting up, and shutting down packaging machinery to ensure smooth production.

You will troubleshoot equipment, participate in quality control, manage material handling with forklifts, and support safety and SOP adherence. Training of new hires and collaboration with the team are key parts of the position.

Qualifications

• Experience with production or packaging machinery preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with basic computer operations.
• Capable of understanding and following written instructions, reports, and technical procedures.
• Forklift experience required.

Hamburg Brewing Company is seeking to hire a Senior Packaging Technician to join ourgrowing team.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Operate, start up, and shut down machinery specific to assigned equipment areas
• Perform initial troubleshooting for equipment or production-related issues, making necessary adjustments to ensure smoothoperation
• Participate in quality control processes, including corrective actions, sensory evaluations, product sampling, and various testingprocedures
• Handle loading and unloading of raw materials and finished goods, including operation of forklifts
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with safety and hygiene standards
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to operational checklists
• Assist with training of new hires and provide support to fellow team members as required
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership

Physical Responsibilities

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds overhead and carry up to 44 pounds over a 10-foot distance
• Requires sufficient grip strength to handle items such as cases and empty kegs (approx. 31.5 pounds)
• Fine motor skills and manual dexterity are essential
• Must be physically able to climb, crouch, crawl, twist, squat, and reach above shoulder height
• This role involves continuous standing and walking throughout the shift
