Job summary

The Hershey Company is seeking a Senior Packaging Systems Engineer to drive capital packaging projects from concept to startup at the Hershey, PA area. You will deliver system concepts, cost estimates, and comprehensive specifications while partnering with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Quality to ensure robust, scalable packaging solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in packaging systems, strong problem solving, and proficiency with AutoCAD/Excel.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology; Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics majors preferred
• Experience with packaging systems, material handling, and automation technologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to communicate complex topics clearly
• Experience with design, installation, and startup of packaging systems

Responsibilities

• Lead capital packaging projects from concept through start-up and hand-off to operations
• Develop project cost estimates, specifications, and alternatives
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver on commitments
• Ensure compliance with corporate capital control policies and procedures
• Provide technical analyses and system-related documentation during project phases
