Job summary

Kraft Heinz, Inc. is seeking a Senior Scientist, Packaging Developer in Glenview, IL.

You will lead packaging development efforts within the Global Disruptive Innovation R&D team, collaborating with cross-functional pods to translate consumer insights into innovative packaging solutions. Responsibilities include prioritizing tasks with the R&D Technical Lead, driving rapid prototyping, scaling to pilot and plant trials, and ensuring rigorous testing and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related scientific field with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience, OR a Master’s degree with a minimum three (3) years of related experience.
• Experience with multiple packaging formats/technologies preferred (4+ years).
• Excellent communication, influencing & problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D Technical Lead to prioritize package development tasks.
• Be the packaging voice on cross-functional team and elevate consumer experience through packaging.
• Lead execution of all aspects of package development (primary, secondary, tertiary).
• Scale promising solutions for plant trials and product launch; design & execute packaging testing & qualifications.
